'My Goodness' is a little gem of a restaurant that overlooks the sea, located within a small seaside village.

This simple thatched-roof restaurant with its inviting ambience of colour is both creative and compelling.

Earthen pots hang from the ceiling with dim lights within and graffiti adorns the low walls outside, with the word 'Mahabs', referring to the location of the seaside town of 'Mahabalipuram' in the city of Chennai in South India.

The view from the restaurant is a sight for sore eyes with its colourful boats and nets, the inviting rush of the sea, temples on the horizon and coconut trees gracing the landscape.

These nets were piled beside the building and the colours were too compelling to resist including them.

This is design in all its simplicity, yet rich in creativity and purpose.
