He struts by

His masculinity

A source of pride

He looks me over

His gaze meant to reduce me

From a human

To an object

I look away

Avoid his gaze

Lower my eyes

Pretend I didn't notice...

I was a girl

I'm a woman now

And a survivor

I pluck the weeds out

And look them over

I owe it to myself!

My eyes never meet the floor

My gaze as sharp as his

Proves itself as we pass

He struts by

His masculinity intact

His head high

He sees victory more often than not

And remains

- Untouched.
